Frankfort Cross Country Captures Both County Championships

Frankfort won both the boys’ and girls’ Clinton County cross country meets Saturday in Frankfort. The Hot Dogs edged Rossville for the boys’ honors, while FHS nipped Clinton Prairie in the girls’ race.

Volleyball Gets First Home Win

Maicee Sterrett had nine kills and Bella Colby added eight kills as Frankfort downed Sheridan 3-0.

Morgan Adamson had 20 assists and eight kills. Amber Houchen also had a block and two kills.

Tennis Team Gets First Win

Frankfort earned its first win of the season by defeating Carroll 4-1 in Flora. Aidan Hudspith and Jake Swinford won their singles matches, while the doubles team of Jackson Ray and Isai Jimenez as well as the team of Eli Grasham and Elijah West, were both victorious.

The night before, FHS lost a close 3-2 match to Sagamore Conference rival North Montgomery. Edwin Wainscott won his singles match while the doubles tandem of Grasham and West were also victorious.

Hudspith got his first victory of the season  in a 4-1 loss to Lebanon.

Shipley Named All-Conference

FHS golfer Emily Shipley finished fifth and earned First Team All Sagamore Conference at the conference meet on Saturday. She carded an 89.

Boys’ Soccer

Frankfort improved to 5-4 on the season with a victory over Southmont Tuesday. Yobani Trenando had a hat trick for the Hot Dogs, while Gael Hernandez added a pair of goals. Julian Luz and Jose Balderas also scored for the Dogs.

Girls’ Soccer Falls to Southmont

Frankfort fell to Southmont in a game that was halted with 17 minutes left to play as lightning entered the area and officials halted the game. Frankfort is 3-5 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.
