Donald J. Johnson, 76, of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Frankfort, on August 25, 1945, to Donald and Norma Jean (Thurman) Johnson.
He worked at Exide Battery and Milepost Transportation. He was a Golden Eagle at the Eagles Lodge and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and dressing like Elvis when singing karaoke.
Survivors include his mother, Norma Jean Johnson of Champaign, IL; children, Rev. Travis Johnson (wife, Jody) of Findlay, OH, Chanse Johnson of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Jesse Johnson of Frankfort, Pamela Johnson of Milford, IL, and Susan Keaton of Frankfort, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father; brothers, Billy and Mark Johnson; and granddaughter, Madison Keaton .
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at noon on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Genda Funeral Home with his son, Travis Johnson, Pastor Mark Mowery, and Dr. David Fry officiating.
