FHS Wrestlers Down Western Boone

The Frankfort High School wrestling team bested Western Boone 48-21 Thursday night at Case Arena.

Winners for the Hot Dogs included Charlie Garcia, Eryka Pillion, Elijah Anthony, Abraham Lopez and Brenton Wood.

Next up for FHS is the WEBO Duals at Western Boone on Saturday.

Central Wrestlers Open With Win

Clinton Central defeated Danville 39-12 in the opening meet for the Bulldogs Wednesday night in Danville.

Winners for the Bulldogs included Alex Schultz, Caleb Belcher, Leo DeLeon, Hayden Pratt, Sy Webster, Cael Albaugh and Rick Hadaway.

Frankfort Swimming

Both the boys’ and girls’ swimming teams lost to West Lafayette Thursday night at home.

For the girls, first-place finishes were 200 Medley Relay: Hernandez, Meyer, Shipley, Teter; 50 Freestyle: Payton Teter with of 29.02; Diving: Mia Hernandez with a score of 162.20;  100 Freestyle: Payton Teter with a time of 1:06.95; 500 Freestyle: Krislyn Shipley with a time 7:18.65; 100 Backstroke: Mia Hernandez with a time of 1:24.51; and 1100 Breaststroke: Lexi Schneider with a time of 1:39.63.

Time drops for the girls included Krislyn Shipley dropped 2.78 seconds in the 200 Freestyle; Anna Beardsley dropped 3.05 seconds in the 50 Freestyle;  Georgia Meyer dropped 4.96 seconds in the 100 Butterfly; Lexi Schneider dropped 55 seconds in the 100 Breaststroke; and Mia Hernandez dropped 5.49 seconds in the 100 Backstroke.

Winners in the boys’ event were 200 Medley Relay: Jimenez, Cook, Craig, C. Angeles; 50 Freestyle: Christopher Angeles with a time of 27.95; and Diving: Ethan Cook with a score of 162.65.

Time drops for the boys included Jacob Craig dropped 1.22 in the 200 Freestyle; Noe Angeles dropped 1.41 in the 50 Freestyle; Mauro Lopez Carillo dropped 11.93 in the 50 Freestyle and Ethan Cook dropped 1.74 seconds in the 100 Breaststroke.

On Tuesday night, the boys defeated North Montgomery  93-59 and the girls lost to North Montgomery 103-67 in Frankfort.

Boys first place finishes were 200 medley relay consisting of Philips, Santos, Craig, and Cook; Skylar Philips; 50 freestyle with a personal best of 27.02; Ethan Cook in the 1 meter diving with a personal best of 170.15; Isai Jimenez in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:15.27; Malaki Gallichan in the 100 freestyle with a personal best time of 1:04.28; the 200 freestyle relay consisting of Gallichan, Jimenez, Santos, and Cook; and Ethan Cook in the 100 breaststroke with a personal best of 1:19.38.
Boys personal bests were 200 medley relay consisting of Philips, Santos, Craig, and Cook dropped half a second with a time of 2:09.47; Isai Jimenez in the 200 freestyle dropped 2.5 seconds with a time of 2:28.78; Aviel Santos set a personal best with a time of 2:58.13 in the 200 I.M.; Skylar Phillips with a 2 second drop and a time of 27.02 in the 50 freestyle; Jacob Craig dropped 0.06 seconds with a time of 27.69 in the 50 freestyle; Mauro Lopez-Carrillo set a new personal best with a time of 49.13 in the 50 freestyle; Ethan Cook gained 22 points with a score of 170.15 in the 1 meter diving; Malaki Gallichan who gained 8 points with a score of 143.05 in the 1 meter diving; Isai Jimenez set a personal best in the 100 butterfly with a time 1:15.27; Jacob Craig set a personal best in the 100 fly as well with a time of 1:18.38; Malaki Gallichan dropped 0.07 seconds with a time of 1:04.28 in the 100 freestyle; Noe Angeles set a personal best in the 500 style with a time of 9:44.33; Skylar Philips dropped 28 seconds in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:13.52; Ethan Cook dropped 1 second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:19.38; and Aviel Santos dropped 3 seconds in the 100 breaststroke with a personal best of 1:23.81.

Girls personal bests were 200 medley relay consisting of Hernandez, Meyer, Shipley, Teter dropped 0.2 seconds with a time of 2:29.19; Krislyn Shipley dropped 0.1 seconds in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:37.99; Lexi Schneider in the 200 I.M had a personal best of 3:51.65; Lia Carreras-Lantigua dropped 2.5 seconds in the 50 freestyle with a time of 34.39; Gabby Disinger set a personal best of 45.59 in the 50 freestyle; Annabelle Hall set a personal best of 9:21.39 in the 500 freestyle; Mia Hernandez dropped 2 seconds with a time of 1:30.00 in the 100 backstroke; Gabby Disinger dropped 5 seconds in the 100 backstroke with a time 2:24.21; Lexi Schneider dropped nearly 18 seconds in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:40.18; Anna Beardsley also had a personal best in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 2:01.34; and the 400 freestyle relay consisting of Carreras-Lantigua, Shipley, Hall, and Meyer dropped 34 seconds with a time of 5:08.94.
Girls’ Basketball Action
* Clinton Central lost to Bethesda Christian 57-43 on the road Tuesday night. Sara Parkison led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points. Kendall Davison was next with 10.
* Rossville’s Michelle Rodkey had 19 points and 12 rebounds Thursday night in a 55-34 loss to North White at Rossville. Tori Skiles was next with nine.
* Payton Dubree had nine points for Frankfort in a 64-26 loss to Sheridan Tuesday night.
