Mayor Judy Sheets would like to welcome the community to the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of the new Sapphire Bay – 1 Adrian Marks Drive, Frankfort.
Sapphire Bay will be open for the 2023 season on Sunday, May 28. The new aquatic park includes three slides, a lazy river, zero entry, and so much more. “It was essential to ensure this project stayed within budget and on track to be completed for the beginning of the 2023 season. Our community has waited since 2018 for a new community pool, and we think it will be worth the wait,” said Mayor Judy Sheets.
The groundbreaking for Sapphire Bay was back in April of 2022. RL Turner has had favorable weather for the last 13 months. “They have been great to work with, stated Interim Park Superintendent Jason Forsythe. “RL Turner has had weekly progress meetings with Envoy, HWC Engineering, and the City. It was easy to keep up with what has been going on.”
The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Frankfort Community Pool Day will be Friday, June 2, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. The community is encouraged to enjoy a Free Community Day at Sapphire Bay for a fun-filled day without admissions. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by an open house until noon. Sapphire Bay will be available to open swimming from noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 2.
The Ice will be operating the concessions during pool operation hours. They will provide pizza by the slice, nachos, Pepsi products, candy, and so much more. A full menu will be released closer to opening day.

Monday to Friday – 11:30a.m. – 7 p.m.
Water Walking from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. during the week ONLY
Saturday – 11 am. – 7 p.m.
Sunday –noon – 6 p.m.
