Seven Zionsville students were welcomed by State Representative Becky Cash of Zionsville to the Statehouse for their participation in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2024 legislative session.

Cate Colvin, Noah Samuel, Carter Schaaf, Georgia Tielker, Lily Vargo and Aiden Wolff of Zionsville Community High School attended alongside Sophia Heard-Alvarez of Zionsville Middle School.

As pages, the students were exposed to the inner-workings of the state government and received a firsthand look at the processes their representative, Becky Cash, undergoes during each legislative session, especially the 2024 session. The students assisted their local representative, other lawmakers and staff with daily duties, received a tour of the offices in every branch of the Statehouse government and joined Cash on the House floor to see the legislative process firsthand and learn more about how the sessions unfold.

“This is a great experience for students to go behind the scenes and learn more about how state government works,” Cash said. “I encourage more young Hoosiers to come to the Statehouse next session and be a page for a day.”

The page program has concluded for the 2024 legislative session, and students between the ages of 13 and 18 are encouraged to participate in the program for the 2025 legislative session. For more information regarding the program and participating in 2025, contact Representative Becky Cash at [email protected] or 317-232-9600.
