Donald Franklin DeVol, Sr.

Mr. Donald Franklin DeVol, Sr., 90, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was born February 5, 1934, in Lebanon, Indiana, a son of the late Harry Emmert and Catherine Leo (Jefferies) DeVol.

On March 16, 1954, he was united in marriage to Minnie Alice (Breedlove) DeVol in Lebanon; she survives. They enjoyed 70 wonderful years together.

Donald worked as a wrought iron fabricator for 65 years. He was also employed by UPS for 20 years and was the first employee to retire from the company.

He enjoyed family gatherings and will be missed by all.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Alice DeVol of Lebanon; children, Donna Mauch of Lebanon, Cheryl (Don) Glowinski of South Port, Indiana, and Don DeVol, Jr. of Monrovia, Indiana; grandchildren, Leah, Allison, Maggie, Drake, Damien, Demetiri, and Corbin; and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Natalie; son-in-law, Gary Mauch; brothers, Harry Ronald “Ron” DeVol, William Raymond DeVol; and sisters, Alice Rebecca Creasey, and Corabelle Colleen Bailey.

Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
