The Lebanon Fire Department announced the promotion of a firefighter and the hiring of a new firefighter to serve the community of Lebanon.
During the Monday night city council meeting, the Lebanon Fire Department promoted Lieutenant Shawn Yancey and Firefighter Blake Gaylor as they continue to pursue their career in law enforcement in the community.
Lt. Yancey acts as a 7-year veteran of the fire service and a 5-year member of the Lebanon Fire Department. Throughout his time with the department, Yancey has reportedly built a reputation as a skilled firefighter and strong leader as he continues his career in Boone County.
Firefighter Blake Gaylor was recently hired by the department as a lateral transfer firefighter and recently completed the orientation and assessment program at the department, beginning his shift Tuesday morning.
