USB Releases Customer Service Data from Billing Office

Utility Service Board Chairman Mike Kelley has released the Frankfort Utility Billing Office’s customer service data report statistics from January 12 through February 12 which encompasses 29 working days.

The report is as follows:

New Accounts — 76, including 75 for Nickle Plate Flats; New Customers — 31; Returning Customers — 21; Transfers Within System — 10; Final Sets — 179 which finalizes one location and sets up new; Final Account Closure — 45.

Payments: At Counter — 9.071; Mailed or Dropped in Night Box — 4,661; Activation of Accounts — 35; Turns Off Processed –16.

Meter Re-Reads: Electric — 145; Water 174.

Processed: Customer Bills — 12,482; Disconnect Notices — 2,418; Miscellaneous Billings — 9; Insufficient Funds Checks — 22; Online Payments — 751; Bank Account Direct Payments — 1,543.

Initiated: Disconnects — 178; Reconnections — 133; Answered Phone Calls — 2,888 (99 per day).

  1. So what I note here is the # of unnecessary mailings of envelopes and bills via the USPS system when actually you could save loads by going paperless. There is no reason to ever send over 3000 of your customers a payment envelope. SAVE OUR MONEY.
