INDOT to Hold Meeting on Proposed SR 26 Road Rehab

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will host a public information meeting regarding proposed S.R. 26 road rehabilitation from approximately Rossville to Russiaville (one half mile east of U.S. 421 to two miles west of Russiaville) in Clinton County.

The purpose of road rehabilitation work is to enhance safety within the S.R. 26 corridor. Several improvements are proposed within various segments of the project area including increasing lane widths, providing roadside shoulder with portions to be paved, improving drainage, modifying and/or replacing culverts, installing rumble striping, improving sidewalks (in areas with existing sidewalk), adding a turning lane (S.R. 26 at S.R. 75) and other safety enhancements.

In addition to enhancing safety, the proposed improvements will extend the usable service life of the existing roadway by addressing pavement condition and roadway flooding.

This public information meeting is opportunity for INDOT to meet with members of the community regarding proposed road work, solicit input and address concerns the community may have regarding proposed road work.
