Erick Dircks was invited to ride in the Harness Racing Starting Gate Car and record some harness racing action. Instead, Erick got permission to get this bird’s eye view of harness racing on the new high performance track at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.
If you are observant, you will pick up on this video that the announcer has absolutely nothing to do with the race…but Erick will tell you it sure was fun to put the two together anyway.
Dispite a tiny number in the grandstand, the purse size at the Frankfort track attracted some competitive racing.
Clinton County Daily News will continue to follow the attempts to make harness racing in Frankfort gain popularity. The current track used in Frankfort has the ability to withstand large amounts of water and still provide a racing surface capable of good times.
