Two Arrested on Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

One individual pleaded not guilty and another pleaded guilty to drug charges in Clinton Circuit Court on Friday following a traffic stop.

On Thursday, Frankfort Police officers observed a vehicle approach and completely stop at the stop sign located at Myrtle Avenue and Rossville Avenue. The vehicle then turned right without signaling and was observed traveling left of center while moving on Rossville Avenue.

Jesse Pitman entered a not guilty plea to four drug charges: Dealing in a Narcotic Drug, a Level 5 Felony; Possession of a Narcotic Drug, a Level 6 Felony; Dealing in Marijuana, a Level 6 Felony; and Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class A Misdemeanor. His trial date has been set for October 9.

Pitman had been previously convicted of Dealing Marijuana on March 20, 2013.

English Owens entered a guilty plea to the charge of Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor.
