Today in Center Township, we are proclaiming March 29 Thunderbirds Day. March 29, every year, will be referred to as Thunderbirds Day. This day in Center Township of Clinton County will honor Special Olympics and the Thunderbirds. The Clinton County Thunderbirds won a gold medal for their state basketball win. Center Township is proud of them and it was an honor to meet with them to hear the great stories of their win. They were able to accomplish something that was a goal and dream of theirs. They showed what it means to do something together and be on a championship team. It was also very humbling to hear one athlete state that he had been praying for this win and God came through for him.
