On Thursday, a criminal investigation by Indiana State Police Detective Mike Lorona resulted in the arrest of Wesley Smith, 25, Kokomo on two felony charges of child molestation.
Detective Lorona started an investigation after receiving information, from the Cass County Division of the Indiana Department of Child Services, that a Howard County girl had possibly been molested. Detective Lorona’s investigation revealed that Smith had allegedly committed a sexual act on a then five-year-old girl. The alleged crime occurred at a Howard County home in 2018.
Thursday, Smith surrendered to deputies at the Howard County Jail. He was then served a Howard Superior Court IV arrest warrant alleging two felony charges for child molestation.
