4th Of July Festivities At TPA Park: Fireworks Sponsor List and Video

Thousands showed up at the TPA Park for festivities and fireworks Thursday. Beautiful sunshine filled the sky to make the day perfect. The F.U.N. (Frankfort’s Unified Neighborhoods) Group was at the park to host some activities for all children by hiding rocks and face painting, piñata action and more.
Entertainment started with “Pound” followed by Darlington Road, Hunter Wainscott Band, and The Indigos Band ended out the entertainment. The Parks department worked hard to bring a very enjoyable day and set the table for community fun.  Also the Frankfort Police Department, Fire, and EMS, all were on hand to bring us a fun and safe holiday.  The Jaycee’s did not disappoint with their great fireworks show again. Kaspar Media crew Russ Kaspar and Kevin Keith hosted the broadcast on WILO 1570 and WILO FM 96.9.  WILO interviewed City Officials, area residents, Jaycees and others to capture a flavor of the day and relay information on lauch time, financial sponsors, traffic reminders, weather status and more.  Frankfort Mayor Chris McBarnes lit the first shell at about 10:15 PM and music to soundtrack the show was heard on WILO AM/FM.

The launch was a safe one at the “Ground Zero” location with no incidents or accidents reported by Nathan Crabtree, launch leader for the evening.

Broadcast sponsors were Magnolia Markets and Boutique on the square in Kokomo, Happy Campers RV Sales and Service Lafayette, 1st Class Fireworks and King Bird Fireworks.

Patty Keaton Parks, Erick Dircks, and volunteers for video were Randy Parks and Norman Ploughe.
