
She had attended Silver Lake High School and later received her GED. Joy was a homemaker who liked things to be orderly and clean. She was a talented oil painter and enjoyed flowers.
In addition to her husband, Joy is survived by her children, Curtis (Lisa) Skiles, Cammy (Karen) Skiles, and Craig (Beth) Skiles; step-daughter, Ginny Hufford; sisters, Dorothy Blocher and Eileen (Bill) Cahill; brother-in-law, Phil Metzger; brothers, Danny (Michelle) Blocher and Walter (Tana) Blocher; nine grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Joy is preceded in death by her parents, step-daughter, Marty Wolf; sisters, Rosadella Miller and Donna Metzger; and brother, Arthur Blocher.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Eric Alwine will officiate. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date in Pyrmont Cemetery. Memorials in Joy’s name may be made to The Living Stone Church.
