Frankfort Sweeps Past Clinton Central in Volleyball Action

The Frankfort volleyball team swept Clinton Central 3-0 Tuesday night to finish 2-1 in Clinton County play.

The team had their serving performance of the year going 73 for 73 and earning 14 aces a team. Leading the way from the line was Tarah Martinez, who had four aces and 11 digs. Lindsey Gay, who earned her 1,000th career assist against Madison Grant last weekend, added three aces, 21 assists and eight kills. Allyson Timmons served well with an ace, two digs, six kills and two blocks. Morgan Adamson had two aces and seven kills, while Bella Colby had eight kills and two blocks. Mercedez Toney had an ace and 12 digs and Syndi Whitaker added three aces, 12 digs and two kills.

Frankfort fell to Clinton Central in the JV match. Emily Hurless led the way for FHS with kills and Emma Pilion added eight assists.

FHS Football Falls to Western Boone

The Hot Dogs fell to Western Boone 37-0 on Homecoming night last Friday night.

Sam Michael led the team in rushing and passing and accounted for 180 yards of total offense. Jade Ayers led the team in receptions and receiving yards.

Gabe Chavez and Vlad Carreas Lantigua once again led the defense with 21 tackles and 18 tackles, respectively. Brenton Woods added 16 tackles and a blocked field goal. Overall, the defense brought a great team that resulted in the fewest points Western Boone had scored against FHS in four year.

Girls’ Soccer Down Western Boone

Ari Regalado scored the lone goal of the match as Frankfort blanked Western Boone 1-0 Monday night in Thorntown.

Nataly Cruz added an assist on the goal, while Jessie Ramos added two saves for the Hot Dogs, now 9-6 overall and 4-2 in the Sagamore. The victory also snapped a three-game losing streak for FHS.

Girls’ Golf Season Ends

The Lady Hot Dogs competed in the regionals last Saturday. Sydney Cesare played well and finished with an 84. Emilee Shipley finished with a 105.
