Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter December 21: VIDEO

Near the time of the birth of Christ there was a great conjunction of planets that attracted attention of the wise men or “Maji”. Was this “Star in the East” the extremely rare conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn and/or Venus?

The wise men met King Herod and said “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him”.  This conjunction near the time of the birth of Christ was a very unusual event and even more impressive, it took place in the constellation “Virgo the Virgin”

On December 21, 2020 Saturn and Jupiter will appear to be unusually close together.  This will be visible in the southwest sky on and around this date.

Rare conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter takes place on December 21, also at the approximate time of the Winter Solstice which marks the shortest day of the year.

Here is a video of the Gemini meteor shower going on now AND interesting information about this conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.
