Vera S. Minth, 84, of Frankfort, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017, at The Springs in Lafayette.
She was born August 2, 1933, in Clinton County, to Calvin and Thelma Miller Lashbrook. On January 11, 1952, Vera married Francis Michael “Frank” Minth Sr.; he passed away on October 21, 2015.
Vera graduated from Colfax High School in 1951. She retired from P.R. Mallory and was a member of Manson Congregational Church where she played the organ and piano. Vera enjoyed playing euchre with her family even though she was not very good at it.
Surviving Vera are her sons, Francis Michael (Lynn) Minth Jr., of West Lafayette, Jerry (Deborah) Minth, of Westfield, and Marshall (Kristi) Minth, of Hoagland; daughters, Catherine (Michael) Ralston, of Rossville, and Carolyn (Tim) Trent, of Frankfort; son-in-law, Wilbur Lucas, of Frankfort; sister, Mary Jane (Ben) Emens, of Frankfort; ten grandchildren, Julie, Adam, Jordon, Daniel, Nicholas, Angela, Amy, Amber, Taylor, and Baylee; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Vera is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Patricia Lucas; brothers, and one sister.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Mark Sanders will officiate.
