Betty Jo McKinney, 90, of Frankfort, died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Wesley Manor Healthcare. She was born December 3, 1930 to Robert Glen & Stella Pearl (Doub) Gumm. She married John J. McKinney on September 18, 1964 and he preceded her in death on April 8, 1995.
Betty Jo was a customer service representative at the Farmer’s Bank in Frankfort. She retired in 1996 after 44 years of service. She was a 1949 graduate of Frankfort High School. Her memberships include, the First Christian Church, where she served as a Deacon, Trustee and Elder along with being the past president of the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose for over 50 years, American Legion Auxiliary, Pink Lady Volunteer at the Clinton County Hospital, Friends of the Manor and was vice president of Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are her 2 Nephews: Brian D. (Kelli) Heimbach of Lebanon and Robert P. (Annette) Heimbach of Rossville, TN; Brother-in-Law: Jerry D. Heimbach of Frankfort; Stepson: John ‘Jay’ McKinney of Bloomington; Stepdaughter: Janice McKinney of Indianapolis; 2 step grandchildren and 5 nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by sister, Sharon K. Heimbach.
