Evelyn Elaine Turner, 74, of Michigantown, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo. She was born on July 22, 1946, in Clinton County, to the late Claryl B. and Mildred (Brittain) Huffer. On December 30, 1963, she married Gary Gordon Turner at the Hills Baptist Church; he preceded her in death on July 18, 2017.
Evelyn graduated from Clinton Central High School in 1964. She worked for National Seal, Cigar Factory, Clinton Central Schools as janitor, and for Mallory Emerson until her retirement. She loved to go fishing and camping with her sons.
She is survived by her youngest son, John (wife Melissa) Turner, of Michigantown; sister, Carolyn (husband LeRoy) Zook of Frankfort; six grandchildren, Michael (wife Amanda) Armstrong, Stephan (wife Briley) Armstrong, Kyle Armstrong (companion Chris Gibson); and eight great-grandchildren, Jama and Cheyenne Armstrong, Xavior, Kendal, Zailynn, Scott, and Hayden Armstrong.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary; and son, Gordon Turner.
Per Evelyn’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
