Marissa Leigh Kraner, 22, of Indianapolis, formerly of Mulberry, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 4, 2021, in Indianapolis. She was born November 23, 1998, in Frankfort to Theresa Lynn (Robinson) Patton and Dean O Kraner.
Marissa was a 2017 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also enrolled in business classes at Ivy Tech. Following high school, Marissa enlisted in the Army National Guard and trained at Fort Leonard Wood in the “Rough Riders” division. She was a member of the Mulberry United Methodist Church. Marissa had worked for XPO Logistics in Lebanon, SIA and Aster Place in Lafayette. She enjoyed painting, singing, playing the piano, cooking, and helping people.
Marissa is survived by her mother, Theresa Lynn (husband, Bill, who helped raise her) Patton, of Mulberry; father, Dean (wife, Kimberly) Kraner of Long Beach Mississipppi; siblings, Melynda Kendrick of Greenfield, Kennith (wife, Andrea) Patton of Stockwell, Mitchel Kraner of Mulberry, Macy Kraner (boyfriend, Maximiliano Esparza) of Mulberry, Kyle Patton of Mulberry; maternal grandmother, Janice M. Robinson Dyer of Mulberry; paternal grandmother, Sandy Kraner of Texas; special friend, Kevin Chairez; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and her puppies, Piper and Josie. Marissa was blessed to be a godmother to her niece, Amelia Pugh.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Mariah Patton; maternal grandfather, Donald Robinson and paternal grandfather, Larry Kraner.
Visitation and funeral services will be private and burial will be in the Fair Haven Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Smith will officiate her service. Because Marissa was such an animal lover, she would be honored for anyone wishing to make a monetary donation, in lieu of floral arrangements, to help her furry friends at the Clinton County Humane Society at PO Box 455, Frankfort, IN 46041.
