Nickle Plate Flats Closing In On Enclosure

Nickle Plate Flats project in Downtown Frankfort is getting closer to the goal of enclosure before the bad winter weather moves in.

Iron Men Properties Principal Joe Blake, who is the developer in charge of the Nickel Plate Flats apartment complex said earlier in the fall that the crew would work as much is needed to get the building enclosed so work can begin there as well. The goal to do that was December 1.

“You really need to think of this as luxury or high end housing,” said Blake. “It’s not your traditional apartment. It is top quality finishes, it’s stainless steel appliances, it’s in-unit front load high capacity washer-dryer in every unit, roof top deck, a lobby area for use of the residents. It’s just an A-plus living environment which is different than anything Frankfort has today.”

Blake said the goal is to have the 74-unit complex open by June 1, 2018. It will be a mix of studio, one- and two-bedrooms apartments along with executive suites on the fourth floor. Prices will range anywhere from $595 to $1,395 per month. For more information, call 765-605-1245.
