William “Bill” Edgar Christy, 75, of Thorntown, Ind., died December 29, 2021 at Franciscan Health East, Lafayette, Ind. He was born June 20, 1946 in Vallejo, CA to Edgar & Clemma (Clemons) Christy.
Bill was a 1965 graduate 
of Thorntown High School and was a lifelong Boone County resident. A veteran, he served in the Air Force. He was owner/operator of a semi-truck for a time and then worked for Batts Trucking in Lebanon and was a driver for Frito Lay. He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Christian Church and was also a member of the Clinton County Tractor Club. He loved working on lawn mowers, mowing lawns, fixing any engine, and was a collector of different cars, Bill loved practical jokes and didn’t know a stranger.
He is survived by a daughter: Ann (Bruce) Kelley of Lafayette, sister: Betty Susong of Frankfort, 2 nephews: Chad Susong of MA and Brad Susong of Lafayette, niece: Traci Susong Janzen of Frankfort. 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren as well as his dog, Sarah and many cats also survive.
Funeral Service:
Visitation will be 1-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
