Debbie Lynne Black

Debbie Lynne Black, 53, of Frankfort, passed away January 25, 2022, in her home.  She was born July 5, 1968, in Wabash to James “Jim” and Glenda Beth (Huffer) Lewis, who preceded her in death.

Debbie attended Frankfort High School.  She worked at Wal-Mart in Lafayette, Exide, was a long-time manager at Pizza Hut in Frankfort, and took early retirement from Donaldson.  She also worked as a waitress at Hillbilly BBQ.  Debbie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  In her later years, she took comfort in her faith.  She was a fighter, bullheaded and never quit!

Debbie is survived by her longtime companion, Ernie Mason; children, Vince (Nikki) Clear of Bedford, and Trevor Clear, Kayla Clear and Laken (Kirk) Howe, all of Frankfort; sister, Lisa Spry of Frankfort; ten grandchildren; and numerous others who called her “Grammy”.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 30, 2022, beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 3:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Chaplain Jim Steffens will officiate.  Memorial donations would be appreciated to help with funeral expenses.  You may donate in person or through the link on Debbie’s obituary page at www.gendafuneralhome.com, where online condolences may also be left.
