William “Bill” Andrew Wood

William “Bill” Andrew Wood, 63, of Frankfort, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

Bill was born October 14, 1958, in Crawfordsville, to William Andrew and Shirley Ann (Crick) Wood, Sr.  Maternal grandparents were Linzy and Martha Faye (Hall) Crick.  Paternal grandparents were John and Loretta Wood.  Bill married Patricia Jackson, and they divorced.  He married Krista Merrill on November 12, 2013, and she survives.

After attending Clinton Central High School, Bill’s work career included Hube Smith Service Station, Wabash National, Clinton County Humane Society, and T-C Trailers, as well as owning B & K Auto Repair.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, tinkering with vehicles, derby cars, fishing, antiquing, auctions, flea markets, and time with his family & friends.

Along with his wife, Bill is survived by his children, Tammy Wood, Dustin (Natasha) Wood and Kesha (Zac) Earlywine; stepchildren, Drake (Aurora) Merrill, Tristen (Katie) Ward and Faith Ward; grandchildren, Braxton, Brenton, Makayla, Devon, Lily, and Deakon Wood, Corban and Jaydn Abney, Aubrey Earlywine, Gabby, Callysta, and Mia Lucio; step-grandchildren, Makenna Merrill, baby Merrill, and Colton Ward; great-grandchildren, Lyndyn Cottrell and baby on-the-way; siblings, Mary (Chuck) Biddle, Gary (Cindy) Wood, Tina (Randy) Cottrell, Steve (Lou) Sellers, Chris (Anna) Sellers, and Shannon (Alan) Tyler; lots of nieces and nephews; and aunts, Omia Jean Donoho, Nellie Christmas, and Anna Mae Crick.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, one uncle, four aunts, and a baby brother.

The family sends a special thank you to Guardian Angel Hospice for their care during this time.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort with Pastor Ken Rushing officiating.
