The Clinton County Family YMCA is conducting their Annual Campaign for 2022 through August 30, and they invite you to consider giving to the many programs and opportunities they have for partnership.
As the YMCA continues to evolve to better serve the community, they have identified a variety of needs within the organization that would be best supported through community giving and partnerships. The campaign kicked off on June 24 with their Annual Gala event, where they raised almost $10,000 in one evening. Next steps are to continue hosting a variety of events throughout the summer, as well as continuing to meet with and discuss opportunities for businesses and individuals to give back and support the needs that best match their passions.
“As an organization, we are truly thriving for the first time in many years,” shared Stephanie Cooper, CEO. “I am so excited by how the staff has truly stepped up in the last 100 days to bring new programs, excite members, and begin offering a whole host of new programs that are driving traffic back into the doors.”
The pandemic hit the Y extremely hard, with declining membership numbers and lack of revenue coming in the doors. With leadership transitions and the struggle to find their community fit, the Y hit a “rough patch” in 2020 and 2021 that led to a variety of issues, even potentially closing the doors. Through the diligent work ethic and unwavering belief of the Board of Directors and the new leadership team, the Y is excited to see membership numbers climbing, visits by those members increasing, and most of all – partnerships in the community finding a new stride.
“We are proud of how far we have come in the last two years,” shared Board President Pat Day. “There were some dark moments, tough conversations, and sleepless nights. However, we are so thrilled to see that the Y is rebounding strongly. We would invite anyone from the community or past partnerships to explore the Y again. You won’t be disappointed.”
