Ronald Lee Curtis, 77, of Frankfort, passed away September 26, 2022 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born on January 5, 1945 in Frankfort to Clyde and Wilma (Tompkins) Curtis. He married Mary Alice Phillips on April 3, 1977 and she preceded him in death on November 23, 2005.
Ron was a 1963 graduate of Frankfort High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Ball State University in 1967. He was a teacher in the Huntington School System for 2 years and worked for Freedman’s Department Store in Frankfort for 20 years and also worked for Schultz IGA in Frankfort. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, especially White Sox baseball. Ron was a collector of coins and had an extensive vinyl record collection.
Surviving are his Children: Amanda (Winston) Hoskins of Frankfort and Clinton Curtis of Sheridan and Grandchildren: Dominick, Greyson, and Aubrey Hoskins and Kennedy Curtis. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Dennis L. Curtis.
Friends may visit 2-4 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. A Private Family Funeral Service will be held.
