Cletis A. Crick

Cletis A. Crick, 73, of rural Kirklin, passed away at his home on June 7, 2023. He was born on October 10, 1949, in Frankfort, Indiana and was the son of Cletis Eli and Beulah (Rhine) Crick. On October 2, 1998, he married Bridget Gunn: she survives.

Cletis attended Clinton Central High School. He had worked for Carr Cabinet in Frankfort for many years before going to the Battery Factory/Exide where he retired in 1995 after 26 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, bird watching, working on muscle cars, cowboy shows, and Jeopardy but more importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, kids, and step grandkids. He was a member of the County Line Fishing Club and was of the Baptist faith. Cletis was a wonderful man, a great husband, was always good to everyone, and never had a bad word about anyone.

Along with his loving wife, Cletis is survived by his sons, Brian Crick and Brad (Renee) Crick; daughters, Kim (Jamesy) Quick and Kelli (Danny) Carr; step-daughter, Johna Drew; brothers, Sam Crick and Michael (Sue) Crick; grandchildren, Corbin Crick, Chelsea Ragan, Brody Quick, Kyleigh Carr, Kaleb Carr, Paige Crick, Mitchell Douglass, Aubrie Thompson, and Megan Drew; great grandsons, Kendrick Thompson and one on the way; a great granddaughter on the way; his Corgi’s, Lizzi and Sadi; and Earl, the garage cat.

Preceding Cletis in death are his parents; stepson, Herman “Bub” Hawkins; brother, Richard Crick; sisters, Jean (Richard) Carney and Mary Hoskins; sister-in-law, Vicki Crick; and grandson Jaden Quick.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 11 am until the start of the funeral service at 1pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Burial will follow in Whiteman Cemetery at Michigantown.   Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is assisting with the arrangements.  Memorial donations may be given to the Boone County Cancer Society or Adoration Home Health & Hospice – Carmel, IN.  Messages of condolence may be directed to www.dayandgenda.com
