Frank S. Piela, 78, of Lafayette, passed away at Mulberry Health, on June 25, 2023. He was born on May 29, 1945, in Chicopee, Massachusetts and was the son of Stanley and Mildred (Kagan) Piela. On December 8, 1986, he married Katherine Everett: she survives.
After graduating from high school, Frank joined the US Navy where he served during the Vietnam War. He had worked for Aerospace Technology for many years, retiring as a supervisor.
Along with his wife, Frank is survived by his son, Jeffrey (husband, Michale Capuzzi) Piela and a daughter, Andrea (husband, Daniel) Florence; grandchildren, Ella and Nolan Florence; stepdaughter Ericka (husband, Matt) Burris; and step granddaughter, MacKenzie Wantje.
Preceding Frank in death are his parents and two older brothers.
