Delores “Maxine” Miller, 90, formerly of Flora, passed away , October 30, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi. She was born on May 26, 1933, in Marion, Indiana, to Wilbur and Mary (Adkins) Cooper. She married Brent S. Miller on October 1, 1949; he preceded her in death on January 24, 2001.
Maxine and her husband were founding members of the Valley View Baptist Church in Flora and enjoyed playing the piano there for many years. She had been a homemaker and enjoyed doing homecare for the elderly for several years.
Surviving Maxine is a son, Greg (Pam) Miller of Cutler; daughter, Connie (William) Ladd of Dawson Springs, KY; and grandchildren, Cody Miller, Taylor Miller, Chrissy Spriggs, and William Ladd; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brent Spence Miller, Jr.; two brothers, and one sister.
Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 1 p.m. until the start of the memorial service at 2 p.m. at the Valley View Baptist Church, 720 W Columbia St. Flora, IN 46929. Pastor Ted Lucas will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Ball Hill Cemetery at Cutler. Day & Genda Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
