The Rossville Masonic Lodge will host its Annual Benefit Breakfast on Feb. 24 beginning at 7 a.m. at the Rossville Masonic Lodge #318 at 413 W. Main St. in Rossville to benefit the Boy Scout Troop #337.
The breakfast will operate on a free will donation with the donor’s choice of pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, fried potatoes, coffee and orange juice. The members of Boy Scout Troop #337 will be helping the Masonic Lodge members make and serve the breakfast available on Feb. 24.
“The Rossville Troop remains very active at developing our future leaders while providing services for Rossville and the surrounding area,” Lodge members wrote. “This past year alone, this Troop has had two members achieve their highest rank of EAGLE and they have four more that are on track to do the same in 2024.”
The donations received during the breakfast will benefit the programming for the troop, such as their monthly campouts, summer camp, high adventure and rank advancements. Memebers of the community likely met members of the troop at the Summers End Festival, the Veterans Home, Camp Cullom, Rossville School, the Town Park and numerous other locations over the past few years as they performed service projects and participated in community events.
Every year, the troop is responsible for decorating the exterior of the Rossville Cemetery with American flags to remember the veterans of the Rossville community and pay their respects during the weeks leading up to Memorial Day.
Community members aged 11 to 17 are welcome to join the troup, and prospective scouts may contact Scout Master Brad for more information at 219-689-0964.
“The Troop is grateful for the support through the years from the Masonic Lodge and our community,” the scouts released. “We hope to see you, your family and friends at the lodge enjoying this great breakfast soon.”
Curbside service will be available during the breakfast hours. Community members requesting curbside service should call 219-689-0964 upon arrival for service.
