Gladys L. Hunter, 88, formerly of Frankfort, passed away April 19, 2024 at Autumn Trace Lebanon. She was born on October 29, 1935 in Binford, North Dakota to Arthur and Verna (Bjorson) Larson. She married Richard L. Hunter on February 27, 1952 in Valley City, North Dakota and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2005.
Gladys was a graduate of Valley City High School in North Dakota and had worked at Wilderness Products for 7 years and Donaldson Co. in Frankfort for 17 years. She was a long time member of the Forest Baptist Church and a member of Hope Community Church in Lebanon. Other memberships included the Frankfort American Legion, Moose Lodge and VFW.
Surviving are her Daughter: Donna Meads of Palm Coast, FL; Step-Children: Linda (Larry) Motes of Michigantown, Pat Kennet of Washington, and Richard (Diane) Hunter of Colorado; Brother: Gary Larson of Morehead, Minnesota; several Grandchildren; Great-Grandchildren; along with Close Friends: Sandra Sexton of Frankfort and Annette Carney of Frankfort. She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard, 3 sons: James, Rollin, and Robert, daughter: Kathryn, and 3 brothers: Roger, Stanley, and Robert.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Pastor Bob Trafford will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Whiteman Cemetery, Michigantown.
