Sharon Kay Summers

Sharon Kay Summers, 75, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born October 4, 1948, in Lebanon, a daughter of Charles Franklin and Rosie Ann (Graham) Bennett.

On September 17, 1965, she was married to Robert G. Summers in Lebanon; they later divorced.

Sharon attended Whitestown schools and Lebanon High School. Throughout the years, she was employed in the kitchen at Oak Park Manor and as a Nurse’s Aide at English Nursing Home. Sharon also worked for a period at Shumate Business Forms and lastly at Kroger in Lebanon then transferred to the Kroger store in Carmel, where she retired.

A devoted member of Lebanon Rock Church, Sharon loved teaching Sunday school. She enjoyed her many friends throughout her life. She will mostly be remembered for the love she had for her family.

Survivors include her children, Jerry L. (Cathy) Summers and Jennifer A. (Robert “Bob”) Cole of Lebanon; grandchildren, Ashli N. Summers and companion, Dallas Boggs, Bradley A. (Hiliary) Cole, Adam Daniels, Jon Daniels, and Chris Daniels; great grandchildren, Melanie A. Cole, Joseph A. Cole, Thomas Daniels, Abigail Daniels, Cameron Daniels, Amara Daniels, Selina Daniels, Faythe Boggs, and Landon Boggs.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert G. “Bobby” Cole; a brother in infancy, Charles Bennett; and sister, Elizabeth Young.

Funeral Services are planned for 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
