Carroll County Special Deputies Hone Courthouse Security Prowess

Two Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Special Deputies completed training with the Indiana Sheriff’s Association to hone their skills for increased courthouse security.

On May 15 and May 16, Courthouse Security Special Deputies Larry Guzman and Jon Randle attended a two-day training hosted by the Indiana Sheriff’s Association in Avon where they received specialized training directly related to courthouse security.

“We are very excited to have a courthouse security division to provide needed security for all who work and conduct business at the courthouse,” the department released.

The training would have allowed for the two special deputies to employ their new knowledge of courthouse security to ensure the safety and efficiency of the court proceedings for Richard Allen in the Carroll County Courthouse as the trial was set to transpire from May 13 through the end of May before a motion was granted to allow the jury trial to commence in the October through November instead.
