The Town of Whitestown Town Manager Katie Barr welcomed community members to the town council meeting last night, July 10 to honor the Public Relations Department and highlight the service of a local community member who led the Pledge of Allegiance.

During the town council meeting, Barr recognized the Public Relations Department for their continued service to the town and their transparency with the community regarding the operations, projects and events of the town.

“Your ability to navigate complex challenges with grace, professionalism and poise is commendable whether crafting impactful messaging, building strong media relations or leveraging the power of social media,” Barr said. “I’m immensely grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such a talented and dedicated team.”

Whitestown also saw U.S. Navy Petty Officer Second Class Robert Orr lead the attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance to showcase his gratitude for the community who recently welcomed him and his family through the PulteGroup Built to Honor program.

The town invited local youth civic groups and community members to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at a town council meeting in the future to spread the Whitestown pride.
