Prairie Creek Park Splash Pad Closes For The Season This Sunday, Sept. 29

The Frankfort Parks Department has announced that the summer season for the Prairie Creek Park Splash Pad will come to end on Sunday, Sept. 29.

The department stated that due to the delayed opening of the splash pad this year due to maintenance issues, the department sought to extend the closure date until the end of September. As a result, the splash pad is expected to close this Sunday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. at Prairie Creek Park to allow the department time to winterize the area to avoid issues next season.

“It is sad to see our Summer Season officially end with our Splash Pad at Prairie Creek Park closing for the season,” the department released. “We are so happy the weather cooperated, allowing us to leave it open past Labor Day Weekend.”

As the department ends one season in Frankfort, they will begin another by focusing on setting up for the Festival of Lights at TPA Park.
