Dense Fog, Black Ice on Roads Possible Monday Night

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a weather statement concerning locally dense fog and black ice being possible Monday night.

Areas of fog, some locally dense, will continue through the night. Visibility may be reduced to a quarter of a mile or less.

In addition, as temperatures drop to below freezing tonight, black ice may form on roads, especially on bridges and overpasses, secondary roads and any untreated roads. Additional ice may develop on roads in areas where any dense fog develops.

Motorist should drive with caution, use low beams, reduce speed, and allow extra space between cars. Be prepared for rapid changes in visibility when traveling.
