Rossville Middle School and Rossville High School have earned esteemed recognition in the latest U.S. News rankings as they placed in the top 100 and top 50 respectively amongst Indiana schools, ranking as the highest in the region for Clinton, Carroll and Boone counties.
Rossville Middle School serves students between the grades of six and eight and is ranked number 76 among Indiana middle schools, and Rossville Senior High School is ranked number 42 among Indiana high schools.
Rossville Middle School is located in a distant rural setting and boasts high proficiencies within math and reading. Math proficiency tests saw 45% of students score at or above the proficient level, and reading proficiency tests saw 60% of students score at or above the proficient level.
According to district averages, the schools performed better in reading but worse in math, but the school surpassed state averages where 39% of students achieved proficiency in both math and reading based on other schools from across the state.
The school has a student-teacher ratio of 13:1, which the district stated was better than the district average, with 38 full-time teachers and one full-time counselor. Minority enrollment stands at 8%, and 26% of students are economically disadvantaged according to the district.
Rossville Senior High School ranked number 2,521 in the National Rankings and number 42 in Indiana high schools. The school saw Advanced Placement participation at a rate of 57%, which is an opportunity for students to take college-level courses and exams while in high school for the opportunity to achieve college credit.
