Delphi Prepares For Possible Downtown Congestion For Richard Allen Sentencing Dec. 20

The Delphi Police Department has released further information regarding the law enforcement presence expected for the sentencing hearing in the case of the State of Indiana vs. Richard Allen set for Dec. 20 at the Carroll County Courthouse.

The department stated that it has been advised that the Sheriff’s Department does not plan to block Market Street as it did for the trial, and the City does not plan to barricade the parking lot of Washington Street and Franklin Street for media parking as it did for the trial as well.

The department stated that since areas will not be barricaded and possible influxes of people entering the Delphi area may occur, drivers should be prepared for some possible congestion in the downtown area on Dec. 20 and plan accordingly.
