The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of central, east central, north central, south central, southeast, southwest and west central Indiana, including Clinton County, until 7 p.m. Monday. In addition, a Wind Chill Advisory is in effect from midnight Monday to noon Tuesday.
Snow is occurring with gusty winds developing. Very cold wind chills are expected. Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the evening commute. Little to no additional snow accumulation is expected. Scattered snow showers and squalls combined with gusty winds will cause and blowing and drifting snow into the evening. Expect wind chills to range from 10 below zero to 20 below zero.
Motorists should be prepared for reduced visibilities and blowing and drifting of snow at times. The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.
Besides Clinton, other affected areas will be Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Carroll, Clay, Daviess, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren.
