Alternative with Care has announced its partnership with Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition to introduce a Dual Diagnosis group to the individuals of Frankfort.
The group is intended to help people experiencing mental illness symptoms in the small community of Frankfort by providing recovery strategies, practical facts about mental illness, stress-vulnerability model and treatment strategies, building social support, using medication effectively, drug and alcohol use, reducing relapses, coping with stress, coping with problems and persistent symptoms and getting needs met by the mental health system.
During the first group beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 10:30 a.m., the group will set community guidelines and agreements that will be reviewed every time the group gathers weekly on Wednesdays.
The groups will be held at Trinity Hope Center at 806 N. Columbia St. in Frankfort.
