NWS Issues Wind Advisory This Evening Through Thursday Morning For Carroll, Clinton, Boone & Surrounding Counties

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from 5 p.m. this afternoon, March 5 through 5 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, March 6 in portions of central, east central, north central and west central Indiana.

The advisory states that west winds are expected to hit around 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 to 50 miles per hour possible. The service stated that the gusty winds are expected to increase through the evening and overnight hours. Gusty winds may blow around unsecured objects, and tree limbs may be blown down with a few power outages possible as the tree limbs fall.

Affected areas include Carroll, Clinton, Boone, Warren, Tippecanoe, Howard, Fountain, Montgomery, Tipton, Hamilton, Madison, Delaware, Randolph, Vermillion, Parke, Putnam, Hendricks, Marion, Hancock, Henry, Morgan, Johnson, Shelby and Rush counties.
