Lebanon FFA Chapter Hosts Step Towards Hope Mental Health 5K/Walk-A-Thon This Saturday, March 22

The Step Towards Hope Lebanon Mental Health 5K and Walk-a-thon has been announced for March 22 as community members help strive to provide free mental health programs to elementary, middle and high schools throughout the world.

The event acts the Lebanon FFA Chapter’s mental health advocacy and information center to promote better resources and education throughout Boone County. Proceeds raised by the event are donated to Erika’s Lighthouse, which is a depression and mental health organization that provides education and resources to struggling youth.

According to Lebanon FFA, the mission of the event is to “break down the stigma surrounding mental health and provide free depression education and suicide prevention programs to any school, anywhere.”

The race date has been set from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 22. Packets may be picked up on March 21 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. or March 22 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Lebanon Memorial Park.

The pledge due date is April 10. Pledges must be turned into the Lebanon High School Front Office.

Registration for the event may be completed at lebtix.us/FFA/steptowardshope/.
