Samuel Kay Hicks, 73, of Marion and formerly of Frankfort, passed away December 18, 2025 in the Wesleyan Health and Rehabilitation Center in Marion.  He was born on May 29, 1952 in Monticello, Kentucky to Elza Levi and Hattie Ethel (Harness) Hicks.

Sam was a 1970 graduate of Clinton Central High School and served as Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1974.  He was a farmer and worked construction for the Clinton County Highway Department, retiring in September of 2014.  Sam was a member of the Victory Chapel in Frankfort and the Frankfort Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #976.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Surviving are his sisters: Margie McKinzie and Louise Hicks, both of Frankfort and Emma Hollen of Greenwood, nephews: Levi, Scott, and Steve, and nieces: Tonya, Stacy, Amanda, Echo, and Lydia.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Raymond and Richard Hicks and sister: Sandy Atkinson.
