Judith Chaney, 89, of rural Frankfort, passed away February 4, 2026 at I.U. Health Hospital, Frankfort, Indiana. She was born August 26, 1936 in Clinton County to Paul & Ruth (Kern) Stinson. She married James Paul Chaney on December 19, 1954 in Clinton County and he survives.
Judith was a 1955 graduate of Colfax High School. She was a member of the Manson Congregational Christian Church. Judith was a homemaker and farm wife who enjoyed horses, being outside, spending time with her grandchildren and family gatherings.
She is survived by her husband, James of rural Frankfort, sons, Jeffrey (Carol) Chaney of Crawfordsville, Jamey (Judy) Chaney of Frankfort, Jerry (Stacey) Chaney of Colfax, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Harry Stinson and aunt, Mary Bailey, who raised her.
A family service will be held. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Manson Congregational Christian Church, 3109 S. County Road 450 W., Frankfort, IN 46041.
