Glenda “Sue” Vinard, 90, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Wesley Manor.
Sue was born July 9, 1935, in Clinton County to Glen and Dorothy (Pollard) Harshman. On June 25, 1954, she married the love of her life, Donald Vinard. They shared many years together until his passing on August 4, 2012.
Sue was a proud graduate of Lebanon High School, Class of 1953. She went on to work at Mallory Controls, where she dedicated more than two decades of service. Outside of work, Sue found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved tending to her flower garden, relaxing with word search books, and piecing together jigsaw puzzles. Above all, Sue cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and happiness.
Sue is survived by her children, Kim (Roger) Clark, Jay (Tina) Vinard, and Lisa Hefling; grandchildren, Jennifer Clark, Rachel (James) Wheet, Timmy Hefling, Jon (Lindsey) Bankert, Dustin (Meghan) Bankert, and Leah (Adam) Myers; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Vinard; her parents; daughter, Julie Vinard; grandchildren, Joshua Vinard, Brandon Vinard, and Maggie Hefling; sisters, Shirley Sherrill, Emma Breeze, and Mildred Spray; and son-in-law, Roger Clark and Tim Hefling.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Bunnell Cemetery. Burial will follow.
