Friends of the Frankfort Public Library to Host “Experience America 250” Event May 8

The Friends of the Frankfort Public Library are inviting the community to take part in a special celebration, “Experience America 250,” set for May 8, 2026, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Frankfort.

The event will feature the exhibition “Landscapes of America,” which will be on display from May 8 through May 30, offering attendees an opportunity to explore artistic and historical perspectives of the nation.

In addition to the exhibit, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities including live demonstrations, storytelling, and music. A highlight of the evening will be a colonial-style market showcasing traditional crafts and skills such as metalworking, woodworking, pottery, soap-making, lacemaking, printmaking, weaving, quilting, basket-making, dried florals, candles, and other handmade goods. Vendors are also expected to offer items like pure maple syrup, honey, and fresh produce.

The event is supported by several local sponsors, including the Elva A.
