Lou Ann Yount, 73, of Avon, formerly of Frankfort, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at IU Health West Hospital in Avon. She was born January 6, 1953, in Frankfort to Maurice and Elizabeth (Crum) Yount.
Lou Ann was a graduate of Clinton Central, class of 1971. She worked in sales for electric supply companies. She was a woman that enjoyed the simple things in life. She took great pride in caring for her home and loved being around family, making meals, sharing memories, and laughing at life’s moments. Though she had a strong foundation in her political beliefs, she loved good conversation. She truly enjoyed life.
She is survived by her sister, Christie Thompson; companion, Richard Greene; niece, Megan (Ryan) Longenecker; great nieces, Rylee, Averi, Cameron; and special cousins, Nancy Snyder, Lea Elliott, Rhett Snyder.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, baby Joan.
