Richard E. Hall Sr., 84, a life-long Frankfort resident, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018, at his home.
He was born May 30, 1933, in Frankfort, to Keith and Alpha (Smith) Hall. On February 5, 1958, he married Mari-Lou Joan Bradley; she preceded him in death on October 28, 2013.
Dick attended Frankfort Schools. From January 4, 1952 to 1955, Dick served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Dick was a self-employed mechanic before retiring in 1979, and member of Zion Apostolic Tabernacle in Frankfort. For those that did not know Dick by name, he was the friendly guy sitting on his porch on Rossville Avenue, always returning a wave.
Dick is survived by his son, Richard E. Hall Jr., of Leavenworth, KS; daughter, LaDawna J. (Mike) Roberts, of Frankfort; step-son, Robert W. (Shauna) Cole, of Crawfordsville; brothers, Larry G. Hall and Gary W. Hall, both of Frankfort; sisters, Virginia Grosswiler, of Frankfort, and Kay Hall, of Lebanon; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Dick is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Donnie F. Hall, Ray D. Hall, and Russell Hall; sisters, Genevieve Bushman, Carolyn Sue Brittain, and Margaret Larimore; daughter-in-law, Thelma Hall; and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Zion Apostolic Tabernacle with Pastor Jonathan Hussey officiating.
