Kokomo Police Department is conducting investigations where local businesses received counterfeit currency in exchange for merchandise. On April 13, at approximately 8 p.m., Domino’s Pizza, 2134 North Washington Street reported an employee delivered pizzas to a west side apartment complex and was paid with several counterfeit bills. The employee described the suspect as a white male, reddish/brown hair with facial hair and a thin build.
On April 13, at approximately 10 p.m., Yogi’s Pizza, 220 West North Street, reported an incident of counterfeit money being used to pay for pizza. Yogi’s Pizza reported an employee delivered pizzas to the same west side apartment complex and was paid with several counterfeit bills. The suspect was described as a white male, 5-5 to 5-7” tall, 140-150 pounds, with reddish/brown hair with facial hair.
Investigators obtained surveillance video from the apartment complex and made several still photos of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle. Kokomo Police Department is asking for assistance with identification of this subject. Both of these investigations involved the passing of $20 denomination counterfeit currency.
